Kerak Castle and Dana Reserve on your Jordan itinerary

Driving south from the Dead Sea, we found ourselves at the historical marvel that is Kerak Castle, accessible for free with the Jordan Pass. Offering panoramic views, the castle's historical significance is best navigated with an on-site guide. Pro tip: Official free parking is right by the castle, so no need to heed the locals directing you elsewhere. Plan for 1-2 hours to soak in the history and scenery.
As the day unfolded, our journey continued towards Dana Reserve. The drive proved as captivating as the destination itself, with picturesque stops for photos dotting the route.
Upon reaching the village within the reserve, we had the pleasure of pre-arranged dinner at the quaint Hobbit Village. Beyond its charming aesthetics, the village is a haven for nature enthusiasts. Make sure to book well in advance, as it's a very popular place. Despite being a hotspot for hiking, we chose a leisurely stay, fully immersing ourselves in the serene surroundings before swiftly moving on to our next adventure. We hadn't really planned a specific hike, it was quite hot, and we were lazy :)
Next stop on the roadtrip
From Dana, we drove to Wadi Musa, home of the mythical Petra.
